We have an excellent opportunity for a Catering Assistant based at The Horder Centre, Crowborough. This role is a Bank / Zero Hours contract.

Working within a key team here at Horder Healthcare, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the chef and wider catering team with the food and beverage preparation for all patients, visitors and staff.

About the role:

  • Support the catering team in delivering a high standard of food and drinks to patients
  • To ensure that any special dietary requirements of patients, visitors and staff are recorded and adhered to
  • Provide a high level of customer service across the board
  • To play an active role in monitoring and recording patients, visitors and staff satisfaction with our services
  • To attend training sessions provided for food hygiene and COSHH awareness

About you:

  • Level 2 - Food Safety (onsite training can be provided)
  • Ability to work as part of a team, but also independently 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Previous experience within a catering environment is desirable, but not essential 

Location: The Horder Centre, Crowborough

Working Hours: Bank - flexiblity required

Salary: £9.79 per hour
