ICP Nurse  - Horder Healthcare sites in East and West Sussex

We're on the look-out for an ICP Nurse to work as part of the Risk Management Team and the Infection Prevention and Control team. The aim of this role is to prepare the individual for a career in the field of infection prevention and to acquire specialist skills in infection prevention. 

What you'll do 

  • Be responsible for the delivery of the infection prevention agenda, by working with team leaders and link staff for infection prevention providing guidance and advice on best practice
  • To take part in the education, surveillance and audit of infection prevention practices across the organisation in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • To manage a wide range of complex and sometimes conflicting priorities whilst at all times ensuring that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery.
  • Provide specialist advice to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients in collaboration with the multi-professional team in line with the local and national targets.

What you need to have 

  • NMC registered nurse
  • The ability to provide knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Ideally, you will have completed a CPD accredited course in infection prevention and control or be willing to undertake an accredited course.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
