Advanced & First Contact Practitioner
We're on the look-out for an Advanced & First Contact Practitioner to join our well-established team working across our sites on the East Sussex Coast (Eastbourne to Peacehaven) and occasionally Crowborough as well as various venues working in Primary Care.
What you'll do
Once your competency (where required) is signed off, you’ll:
- Autonomously undertake electronic triage of new referrals and run clinics to assess new referrals into the Intermediate MSK Service (AP Service)
- Use advanced clinical reasoning skills to diagnose and manage patients in the AP Service, as an FCP (when and where there is service need) and as a Physiotherapist
- Provide a patient centred collaborative approach to assessment, diagnosis and treatment
Who you'll be
- Have clinical/professional expertise (or desire to develop) in the provision of Advanced Practice in musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Proven clinical leadership and past experience of clinical development of senior MSK staff
- Ability to justify clinical decision making with consultants, GP’s, physiotherapists and other key stakeholders using critical appraisal of clinical evidence and EBP
- Maintain professional judgement under pressure during discussion with patients and other stakeholders
What you need to have
- HCPC and CSP registration
- BSc or MSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy
- Advanced MSK assessment and treatment skills with proven advanced clinical reasoning abilities
- Independent and unsupervised advanced decision-making and problem solving skills
