Vacancy – Supplies Assistant – East Grinstead
Full time – Permanent
We’re on the look-out for a Supplies Assistant, to join the friendly Stores team. You’ll ensure there is a daily replenishment of consumables to par stock levels, oversee deliveries and stock management including carrying out stock takes and inputting them using computerized stock systems, plus you will deputise for the supplies administrator in their absence; all at our East Grinstead based hospital, The McIndoe Centre.
Reporting to the Supplies Administrator, you will be accountable for carrying out reasonable duties requested by senior staff, complying with Horder Healthcare’s Policies and Guidelines, ensuring confidential information is not disclosed to any unauthorised member of staff; alongside upholding and enhancing the good standing and reputation of Horder Healthcare.
Must Haves
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience of working in a stores or a warehousing environment.
- Able to communicate with a wide range of people, and provide good customer service to internal and external customers.
- Experience using stock management systems.
- Manual handling ability and experience.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working in a hospital environment.
- Experience using Compucare 7 (stock management system).
- Stock management, IT or Customer Service certificates or qualification (NVQ, City & Guild or other).
- Valid UK driving licence.
