Horder Healthcare has been committed to caring since 1954. Starting out as the Centre for Arthritis, The Horder Centre has developed an international reputation as a centre for excellence for delivering orthopaedic and musculoskeletal care with patient outcomes in the top 1% of the nation. Beside Orthopaedics, we have grown into a multi-service healthcare provider with a large musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy service providing to GP referrals, privately insured and self-paying patients as well as post-operative patients. We also deliver care for plastic and maxillofacial surgery and opthalmology at our hospital at The McIndoe Centre in East Grinstead. The principled way in which we deliver care truly sets us apart with Quality at the centre of our thinking, enabling our patients to lead fulfilled and happy lives. At the Horder Centre in Crowborough, as well as at the Outreach sites in Seaford and Eastbourne, we provide a large volume of Outpatient appointments for orthopaedic consultants and over half of the provision for MSK Advanced Practitioners and Physiotherapy for our two local CCGs.

We are on the look-out for a Physiotherapist to join our well established team to work along the south coast of East Sussex.

Once trained and competent, the successful candidate will be able to autonomously undertake electronic triage of new referrals and run clinics to assess patients referred into the Intermediate MSK Service (AP Service) using advanced clinical reasoning skills to clinically diagnose and manage a complex group of people who may not have responded to conservative measures. You’ll be able to request and interpret appropriate diagnostic investigations such as imaging and pathology. You will provide a patient centred collaborative approach to assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning utilising shared decision making principles to provide a range of evidence-based treatment options. Working within an MDT, you will also participate in the development of the clinical pathways by participating in clinical audit within the service to maintain and improve all aspects of clinical governance, evidence based practice and quality assurance in the service. You will also manage and treat a caseload of outpatient musculoskeletal physiotherapy patients.

Horder Healthcare provides excellent support for training and development including a regular inservice training programme and a well-established competency development programme. We also provide a free lunch to all staff!

You will be working between our two sites on the south coast in Seaford and Eastbourne but there may also be opportunities to work at our other location at the Horder Centre in Crowborough, East Sussex.
