Joining one of key teams within The McIndoe Centre, we are on the lookout for a motivated and team-orientated Kitchen Porter. Playing an integral role within the catering team, you will be on hand to ensure that the catering area remains clean and hygienic for the wider team, as well assisting with the delivery of staff meals throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities will include washing pots and pans, keeping floors clean, sanitizing food preparation areas and occasionally helping with food prep work. You will be invaluable in making sure our catering areas remain sanitised and tidy.

This is a permanent position (37.5 hours per week) based on a rota pattern, which will include weekend work. Shift times are from 7am to 3pm.

About you:

  • Fantastic attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is desirable, but not essential
  • Prior experience within a kitchen / catering environment
  • A team player, with enthusiasm to support in other areas of the catering department as and when required.
