Working within a key team here at Horder Healthcare, we have an exciting, fixed-term opportunity for a creative and passionate Sous Chef to join our experienced catering team. Assisting the Corporate Catering Manager and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring that the food is prepared and served to a high-quality and standard, as well as assisting with the menu planning and preparation,, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to grow with their career within a professional and rewarding environment.
Based from The Horder Centre, Crowborough, this is a full-time, temporary role, working on a Monday to Sunday shift basis of 5 of 7..
This role will be covering for a 6-month period.
About you:
- City & Guilds 706 Level 2, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent C.I.E.H. Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
- Prior experience within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication skills, to help build those all-important and respected relationships with our patients and your colleagues.
- Exposure to menu planning, with a keen interest in current food and dietary trends.
- Proactive and forward thinking, with a passion for continued learning.

Salary: up to £25,900.00 per annum
