We are now seeking an organised, confident and people‑focused Reception Supervisor to lead our welcoming Guest Services Reception team.
About the Role
As Reception Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our reception, ensuring every patient, visitor and colleague receives a warm, professional, and efficient experience.
You will lead and support a small team of receptionists, providing guidance, training and daily supervision. This is a hands‑on role—perfect for someone who enjoys both team leadership and front-of-house interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the Reception team, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times.
- Manage staffing rotas and workflow allocation.
- Handle complex or escalated patient queries with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure accurate use of booking systems, patient check‑ins, admissions and enquiries.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, administrative and operational teams to ensure smooth patient journeys.
- Maintain reception area standards, including cleanliness, presentation and health & safety requirements.
- Support with onboarding and training of new reception team members.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in reception, front‑of‑house, customer service or administrative supervision (healthcare experience desirable but not essential).
- Approachable and confident when interacting with patients and visitors.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure.
- A natural leader, able to motivate a team and lead by example.
- Tech‑confident, with experience using booking systems, databases, or patient administration systems.
Location: The Horder Centre, Crowborough
Contract: Part-Time, Permanent (4 out of 7 days per week - weekend rotation with approx. 1 in 6 Saturdays required)
Base Salary: up to £22,554.40 pro-rata per annum, depending on experience
