Bank Contract - Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer

We’re looking for an Assessor & Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to join our Clinical Training and Development team at Horder Healthcare. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting our clinical colleagues to achieve nationally recognised Health & Social Care qualifications.

Please note that this a bank contract.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assess learners through workplace observations, professional discussions and portfolio reviews.
  • Provide constructive, developmental feedback to support learner progression.
  • Monitor progress and support timely completion of qualifications.
  • Carry out Internal Quality Assurance activities, including sampling and standardisation.
  • Support assessors to maintain high‑quality assessment practice.
  • Prepare documentation for External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits.
  • Promote a positive, supportive learning culture aligned to our values.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Experience working in a healthcare environment
  • Level 3 (or above) Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent)
  • Level 4 IQA qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience assessing Health & Social Care qualifications and supporting learners
  • Strong communication, organisation and relationship‑building skills

Desirable

  • Apprenticeship assessment experience (Health and Social Care)
  • Experience using e‑portfolio systems (Learning Assistant)
  • Teaching qualification (Level 3 AET or above)

Location: The Horder Centre, Crowborough, with occasional travel to other sites required.

Contract Type: Bank / Zero-Hours

Salary: up to £19.50 per hour, depending on experience
