What You’ll Be Doing

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll support our chefs and front-of-house team to ensure everything operates seamlessly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
  • Washing crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment to a high standard.
  • Supporting food preparation (e.g. salads, sandwiches, vegetables)
  • Assisting with stock control, deliveries, and correct storage of supplies.
  • Ensuring waste is managed safely and efficiently
  • Helping maintain beverage stations and supporting front-of-house when needed.
  • Carrying out daily checks and reporting any faults or issues promptly
About You

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoys being part of a team.

Essential:

  • A positive, polite and friendly attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to work towards)
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a catering/restaurant setting
  • Customer service or front-of-house experience
  • Basic IT experience

Location: The Horder Centre, Crowborough
Contract: 
Part-Time, Permanent (15 hours per week)
Base Salary: 
£9,929.40 pro-rata per annum (£24,823.50 full-time equivalent)

In accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencing employment.
