Make a Difference to Every Patient's Stay
Are you a friendly, caring and customer-focused individual who enjoys helping others? We're looking for a Ward Host to join our dedicated catering team, providing an exceptional food and beverage service that helps create a positive experience for patients, visitors and staff.
In this rewarding role, you'll be at the heart of patient care, ensuring meals are delivered efficiently, dietary requirements are met, and every interaction reflects our commitment to outstanding service. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important part in helping patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their time with us.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking and recording food and beverage orders from patients, visitors and staff
- Liaising with the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared accurately
- Preparing meal trays and beverage trolleys
- Serving food and drinks to the highest standards of customer care
- Supporting the preparation of sandwiches, salads, cold starters and refreshments
- Ensuring dietary and allergen requirements are correctly recorded and followed
- Maintaining clean, hygienic and well-stocked serveries and dining areas
- Restocking vending machines, counters and catering supplies
- Assisting with washing up and maintaining catering equipment where required
- Supporting patient satisfaction initiatives and helping to continually improve our service
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, approachable and enjoys working as part of a team.
Essential Requirements
✔ A positive and professional attitude
✔ Excellent customer service skills
✔ Ability to work effectively within a team environment
✔ Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns
✔ Food Safety Level 2 qualification (or a willingness to complete training provided by us)
Desirable Skills & Experience
✔ Experience within a catering, hospitality or healthcare setting
✔ Knowledge of safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults
✔ Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
✔ Awareness of food allergies and dietary requirements
